An InfantSEE assessment is recommended between 6 and 12 months of age.  This comprehensive examination is meant to complement the vision screening at the pediatrician's office.  We check to determine whether the infant is at risk for eye or vision disorders, and through a series of tests evaluate the baby's prescription, how well he or she is seeing, how the eyes are teaming together, how the eyes are aligned, and the overall health of the eyes.

One in every 10 children is at risk from undiagnosed vision and eye problems.  Early detection is essential for the best outcomes and cost effective treatment.  Drs. Ryan and Amber Fritsch support the underlying  idea of the InfantSEE program- that every infant should have their eyes examined thoroughly between 6 and 12 months old regardless of family income level or insurance.  Because of this, both doctors are InfantSEE providers and offer a no cost assessment for children this age.
